Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Private Equity Associate focusing on consumer and leisure in Europe. The role is remote and part-time, offering 20–25 hours per week on a contract basis.

You'll build financial models from source documents, deliver an editable workbook with live formulas, and peer‑review fellow contractors' models against a fixed criteria. Paris/French deal experience is a plus, with exposure to European consumer deals.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years total experience in IB/PE with consumer/retail exposure.
• Currently/Recently an Associate at mid‑market or large‑cap PE with consumer/leisure focus; Paris/french deals preferred.
• Able to build financial models from source documents without templates.

Responsibilities

• Build a working financial model of an assigned consumer/leisure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack.
• Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions.
• Peer-review two anonymized models against fixed criteria with a written rationale and a completed review scorecard.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and quality.
