Rover.Com is seeking a privacy platform engineer to own and evolve the privacy technology stack in a hybrid Barcelona-based role. You will configure workflows, DSAR automation, and reporting while collaborating with Marketing, Legal and Engineering to meet compliance goals.

You will drive integrations, monitor connectors, and contribute to incident response with Cybersecurity. A strong emphasis on AI-enabled automation and scalable solutions is required, with hands-on SaaS platform experience

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Own and maintain the privacy platform, including workflows, consent management, DSAR automation, and reporting.
• Coordinate opt-in/opt-out workflows with Marketing, Legal and Engineering; ensure alignment and troubleshooting
• Lead integrations from design to go-live as technical lead
• Support incident response with Cybersecurity; assist in triage and evidence collection
• Build AI-driven automation to reduce manual work while ensuring compliance
• Document configurations, runbooks and troubleshooting guides; mentor junior team members
• Manage vendor relationships and escalate technical issues as needed

In this role you will own Rover's privacy technology platform stack, configuring and maintaining the privacy management system and connected tools. You will partner with the GRC team to ensure compliance requirements are reliably delivered by the platform, and you’ll drive automation and AI-enabled improvements at scale. The position blends hands-on platform work with cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Legal, and Engineering, in a hybrid setup based in Barcelona. You’ll shape privacy workflows, integrations, and incident response to protect data and support growth.

• Own and maintain the privacy platform, including workflows, consent management, DSAR automation, and reporting
• Coordinate opt-in/opt-out workflows with Marketing, Legal, and Engineering; ensure downstream alignment and gap troubleshooting
• Manage integrations and APIs, including authentication, error handling, and monitoring
• Handle end-to-end DSARs, monitor connectors, and resolve fulfillment blockers
• Maintain RoPA and Data Map accuracy, onboard new data sources
• Lead new integrations from design to go-live as technical lead
• Support incident response with Cybersecurity, including triage and evidence collection
• Build AI-driven automation to reduce manual work while ensuring compliance
• Document configurations, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides; mentor junior team members
• Own vendor relationships and escalate technical issues when needed
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
• 2-5 years administering SaaS platforms with project leadership experience
• Hands-on experience with an enterprise privacy management platform (consent management, DSAR automation, data discovery)
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth/API keys, webhooks, and integration troubleshooting
• Understanding of SaaS architecture and change management
• Strong independent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders
• Autonomous work style with escalation when appropriate
• Practical experience using AI/LLM tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to automate workflows or assist troubleshooting
