Job summary

Mercury Systems in Madrid region seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to drive system-level specifications, architecture and detailed design of computing solutions. You will oversee the full lifecycle from bid activity through verification, qualification and production transition, acting as the technical authority on project delivery.

You will address customer specifications, coordinate system integration and verification, and contribute to RFI/RFP activities while coordinating supplier work

Qualifications

• Define system requirements, architecture and detailed designs.
• Translate customer specifications into internal requirements.
• Support system integration, validation, verification and qualification.
• Act as a technical authority during project delivery.
• Produce technical evidence, assessments and documentation required by projects.
• Support customer discussions, project reviews and certification milestones.
• Estimate, plan and report on systems engineering activities.
• Contribute technical expertise to RFI and RFP activities.
• Manage defined supplier work packages.
• Support related areas including software development, embedded video and system verification.

Are you an experienced Systems Engineer looking to play a leading role in the development of advanced avionics systems and equipment?

Mercury is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to take technical responsibility for system-level specifications, architecture and the detailed design of computing solutions. You’ll contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial specification and bid activity through to verification, qualification, certification and production transition.

In this role, you will:

• Define system requirements, architecture and detailed designs
