Descripción del empleo

As a global leader in cybersecurity CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011 our mission hasn’t changed – we’re here to stop breaches and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI‑native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission‑driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role :

Our mission is to make all of our customers’ security‑relevant data continuously available for automated detection and response, threat hunting and other Falcon use cases. To enable this, the systems behind NG‑SIEM are growing to accommodate 100 PB of event and action data ingested every day, up to 10 years of retention, and dozens of millions of queries per hour across large sections of the data stored. As the new NG‑SIEM Serverless Platform Principal Cloud Engineer you’ll be responsible for designing and building a platform that can deliver this scale to customers and other Falcon modules as a seamless, uniform serverless experience across all their use cases. Over the next years this will require improving, evolving and renewing the platform’s control plane and data plane systems as well as deep data analysis and system‑automation algorithms to optimally operate and balance costs and SLOs. This role targets candidates located on the east coast of North America or those willing to work fully within that time zone.

What You’ll Do :
  • Evolve and apply the technical vision for ingesting 100 PB/d of event and action log data while enabling greatly multiplied query intensity over this data set.
  • Lead by example on customer and product focus as well as operational excellence.
  • Deliver key parts of our systems directly as an individual contributor or as part of a project‑focused engineering team.
  • Demonstrate promising approaches to problems or opportunities via proofs‑of‑concept software and then secure owner buy‑in and funding; ensure teams stay on track during delivery.
  • Move our product mission forward—partner with peers to develop the NG‑SIEM technical and product strategy, roadmap, and own the execution of that roadmap.
  • Engage with principal engineers across CrowdStrike to ensure coherent technical strategy across Falcon modules and the broader CrowdStrike technical landscape.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product engineering and field leaders (sales, customer success, support) to bring product success.
  • Travel a few times a year to meet with teams and peers, while working in a remote‑first culture that values excellent verbal and written communication across the globe.
What You’ll Need :
  • 12 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining multiple software products/systems/releases in a SaaS delivery model across all phases of the development lifecycle and across multiple software stacks.
  • 8 years of experience as an engineer in a force‑multiplying position (delivery through others).
  • 3 years of hands‑on experience owning a distributed system that handled tens of billions of requests per day or more than 1 PB of data per day.
  • History of significant and continued impact on customer experience and business results.
  • Demonstrated track record of operational excellence with services spanning many components across several geographical regions.
  • Experience leading the growth of strong engineers within remote teams across geographies and cultures.
  • Ability to apply a data science‑driven approach to large‑scale systems engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, from executive staff to individual contributors.
Bonus Points :
  • 3 years of hands‑on experience owning a distributed system that handled over 1 trillion requests per day or more than 10 PB of data per day.
  • Solid grounding in the technology of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  • Exposure to or experience with cybersecurity and intelligence.
  • Machine learning and data science familiarity and hands‑on experience.
Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike :
  • Remote‑friendly and flexible work culture.
  • Market‑leader compensation and equity awards.
  • Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs.
  • Competitive vacation and holidays for recharge.
  • Paid parental and adoption leaves.
  • Professional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or role.
  • Employee networks, geographic neighborhood groups and volunteer opportunities to build connections.
  • Vibrant office culture with world‑class amenities.
  • Great Place to Work Certified across the globe.
