Job summary

British School of Tenerife is seeking a SEN and Wellbeing Team Member to support pupils with SEN and to contribute to wellbeing across the school, primarily in the primary phase.

You will work with the ND department and SLT to deliver inclusive, culturally sensitive support for EAL learners, and to promote emotional resilience and social development.

The role offers opportunities to develop professional practice within an international, bilingual school with strong safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary pupils with SEN or wellbeing needs.
• Ability to implement inclusive, culturally sensitive support for EAL pupils.
• Experience in maintaining accurate records and safeguarding.
• Collaborate with teachers, ND department, SLT and external professionals.
• Deliver targeted wellbeing and social skills programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
• Deliver learning activities per IEPs and social-emotional programmes.
• Assist with adaptations to curriculum and learning environment.
• Maintain records of interventions and progress.
• Support engagement with families and external professionals.
• Break/lunchtime wellbeing supervision and safeguarding duties.
