ISP is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover) to support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning experiences for pupils. You will work closely with children to promote their academic, social, and emotional development within a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

• Experience working with children in an educational setting (primary age preferred).
• Good understanding of child development and primary education practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
• Good level of English literacy and numeracy.

Responsabilidades

• Support the class teacher in the planning, preparation, and delivery of learning activities.
• Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted support.
• Assist in creating a positive, stimulating, and well-organised classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
• Help assess and record pupil progress, feeding back to the class teacher as appropriate.
• Prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs or special educational needs (SEN), adapting tasks where necessary.
• Supervise pupils during classroom activities, break times, and school outings when required.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and inclusive school environment.
• Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
