InShared is seeking a Pricing Data Scientist to shape pricing and analytics for the Spanish market, leveraging statistical models and AI techniques to optimize profitability.

You will work with the Pricing & Analytics team, aligning with the Spanish market strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across offices in Spain and the Netherlands. A hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Formación

• 10+ years hands-on experience as pricing actuary in the Spanish P&C market with a focus on commercial pricing in car insurance (digital insurance model is a plus).
• University degree in a relevant mathematical field.
• Exceptional quantitative, logical, and analytical abilities.
• Solid understanding of actuarial and data science (machine learning) techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL, R (or Python), foundational AI models and cloud computing.
• Familiarity with version control using Git.
• Strong communicative skills.
• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written

Overview

We are InShared: an online insurer that does everything just a little differently. We started as a disruptor in the Dutch insurance world. Now we are on our way to expanding internationally. We use smart technology to make our insurance services simple, fast and fair. Our goal is to build the best digital insurance product in the world.

Today, we are a team of 350 people, but soon we could be 500. To continue growing internationally, we are looking for entrepreneurial and energetic people who want to keep shaking up the insurance industry with us. What do we need? A Pricing Data Scientist, who helps us to predict the likelihood and potential risk and costs of future claims as well as optimal conversion rates.

Responsibilities

As our Pricing Data Scientist, you will work closely with talented colleagues on the latest technology. With the pricing & analytics team, you will dynamically adjust our Spanish pricing models, utilize market data and perform conversion analysis to optimize profitability. This role requires meticulous data analysis and management, aimed at identifying market trends, detecting potential fraud, and enhancing pricing accuracy through statistical modeling, using both classical and AI methods.

You will develop alert systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing insightful reports on pricing strategies and work from our Spanish and Dutch office.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on experience as (pricing) actuary in the Spanish P&C market with a focus on commercial pricing in car insurance (experience within a digital insurance model is a plus).

• A university degree in a relevant (mathematical) field;

• Exceptional quantitative, logical, and analytical abilities, with a knack for solving complex problems;

• Solid understanding of actuarial and the latest data science (machine learning) & AI techniques;

• Proficiency in SQL, R (or Python), foundational AI models and cloud computing;

• Familiarity with programming best practices, such as version control using Git;

• Strong communicative skills;

• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset;

• Fluent in English, spoken and written
