Applus+ IDIADA is a global automotive engineering leader seeking a Homologation Engineer to join the team and report to the Technical Leader. You will participate in powertrain certification and witness official tests at the manufacturer’s lab, ensuring compliance with Idiada procedures.

The role requires knowledge of emission regulations, at least 1 year in powertrain development or testing, and strong planning and collaboration skills. English is required; other languages are a plus.

Formación

• Knowledge of emission regulations for passenger cars and vehicle approvals.
• 1 year or more experience in powertrain development and/or testing.
• Excellent planning and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Witness official approval tests for powertrain according to Idiada procedures.
• Prepare and manage approval dossiers and issue official certificates from Spanish Authorities.
• Oversee certification scope including exhaust emissions, fuel consumption and engine power.

Job Description

As Homologation Engineer the candidate will work in the Homologation team reporting directly to the Technical Leader of this Area.

Responsibilities

To deal with the certification of the vehicle related to power-train requirements:

• Exhaust emissions.
• Fuel consumption.
• Engine power.

As Homologation Engineer she/he will be responsible to witness the official approval tests at the manufacturer's laboratory according to Idiada's procedures, to prepare the related approval dossiers and to manage the delivery of the official approval certificates granted by the Approval Authorities of Spain.

Qualifications

Profile

• Good knowledge on emission regulations for passenger cars and approval of vehicles in general
• Minimum 1 year of experience in powertrain development and/or testing.
• Excellent planning & collaboration skills.

Education

• Degree in mechanical engineering (or similar).

Languages

• Good level of English.
• Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
