Job summary

IREN Group seeks a Power Infra Project Manager in Spain to lead end-to-end delivery of electrical power infrastructure for its next-generation, renewable-powered data center projects. You will coordinate grid connections, HV/MV substations, transformers, and related balance-of-plant to energize campuses on time and within budget.

The role requires cross-functional leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, testing and energization activities, and close collaboration with utilities

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of power infrastructure packages for energizing the data center.
• Develop and manage the power infrastructure delivery strategy in alignment with the master plan.
• Support the Project Director with visibility of progress, cost, schedule, risks and energization milestones.
• Coordinate grid connection and utility interfaces with utilities, engineering teams and contractors.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, testing and energization activities across the lifecycle.
• Manage EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and equipment vendors to maintain schedule and quality.
• Coordinate power infrastructure design activities for compliance, constructability, operability and grid requirements.
• Ensure interfaces between external power infrastructure and the Data Center project are well managed.
• Collaborate with Data Center Electrical, CSA, Mechanical, BMS/Controls, Construction, Commissioning and Operations teams.
• Monitor schedule performance and identify critical-path activities; implement mitigation as needed.
• Maintain energization milestones through design approvals, permitting, testing and approvals before energization.
• Oversee project cost performance with the Project Director and finance teams, including EACs and contingencies.
• Manage scope and change control, identifying impacts and obtaining approvals.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities across technical, grid, permitting, procurement and schedule domains.
• Contribute to procurement and contracting strategy and support negotiations.
• Coordinate long-lead electrical equipment procurement, testing and commissioning, including transformers and switchgear.
• Monitor contractor and vendor performance against contracts and standards.
• Ensure regulatory and permitting requirements are obtained in line with milestones.
• Promote strong HSE performance across activities with emphasis on electrical safety and high-risk operations.
• Drive commissioning and integrated testing readiness and energization sequencing with stakeholders.
