Job summary

IFAE is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research position in Observational Cosmology. The successful candidate will join the Observational Cosmology group and become a member of the LSST DESC collaboration.

The main goal is to develop and validate new data-analysis methodologies for galaxy surveys and apply them to the first LSST data release (DR1). International travel and conferences are expected, with a PhD in Physics or related discipline and HPC experience required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics or a related discipline is required.
• Experience in data analysis of cosmological surveys is required.
• Proficient in scientific programming and HPC facilities.
• Willingness to travel internationally for research meetings and collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate new data-analysis methodologies for galaxy surveys.
• Apply methods to the first LSST data release (DR1).
