The Institute of Space Sciences (ICE-CSIC) in Barcelona invites applications for a PhD position in Observational Cosmology starting Sept 2026. You will work under Dr. Martin Crocce and Dr.

Matteo Zennaro and enroll at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) for the 2026/2027 academic year. The project focuses on galaxy clustering, weak lensing, and cosmological inference, with opportunities to contribute to ESA Euclid and other surveys.

Formación

• Applicant should have MSc or equivalent and be eligible to enroll in the PhD program at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) for 2026/2027.
• Position is for three years with possible extension; salary and benefits align with Spanish PhD positions.

Responsabilidades

• Research galaxy clustering and weak gravitational lensing.
• Model using analytic theory or simulations and cosmological inference.
• Contribute to the ESA Euclid mission and other major surveys (DESI, Rubin/LSST, DES).
• Develop data-analysis tools and ML/NN methods for large-scale structure studies.
