Job summary

Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Prof. Burés’ group. The postdoc will be based at ICIQ in Spain, with potential visits to AstraZeneca in the UK.

The project focuses on mechanistic studies to improve synthetic methods for industrial processes. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and have a strong background in organic chemistry or catalysis, with experience in NMR/IR/HPLC/GC and proficient

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required.
• Strong background in organic chemistry and/or catalysis.
• Experience with NMR, IR, HPLC and GC techniques.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design, perform and analyse reaction mechanistic experiments.
• Produce high-quality planning documents, research reports and publications.
• Conduct projects with AstraZeneca as partner.
