Q-Tech is seeking a Platform Engineer in Barcelona for a hybrid role focusing on building tools and frameworks to empower engineering and data teams.

You will manage AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and interfaces with technologies like Kafka, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and CDK, while contributing to CI/CD processes and collaborating across Barcelona, Paris, Bordeaux and Madrid.

Formación

• Solid experience in software development with a production-oriented approach.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS and Terraform (IaaC).
• Ability to quickly learn new languages and tools.
• Experience in highly scalable, automated environments with Kubernetes.
• Collaborative skills and a focus on supporting other technical teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop tools and frameworks for engineering and data teams.
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure with multiple environments and Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Work with Kafka, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Kong, Terraform, and CDK to support services.
• Contribute to CI/CD improvements (GitLab) and edge/CDN technologies.
• Collaborate in an agile, distributed team across Barcelona, Paris, Bordeaux and Madrid.
• Participate in on-call rotation after the first three months with extra compensation.

We are currently seeking a Platform Engineer to join their tech team in Barcelona. This hybrid role blends technological innovation, scalability, and a focus on tools that enhance the productivity of engineering and data teams.

About the Project

The client boasts an advanced technological infrastructure based on AWS and Kubernetes, managing over 600 microservices and multiple cloud environments. With a presence in several European countries, they are at the forefront of digital transformation in their sector through innovative solutions and a collaborative approach

Role Description

We are looking for a professional with software development experience (Go, TypeScript, Python, or similar) and a strong production focus. This person will play a key role in enabling and empowering technical teams by designing tools, frameworks, and interfaces to manage the infrastructure seamlessly

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools and frameworks that enable engineering and data teams to operate efficiently
• Manage and optimize an advanced AWS infrastructure with multiple environments and Kubernetes clusters in production
• Work with technologies such as Kafka, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Kong, Terraform, and CDK.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD processes (GitLab) and edge and CDN technologies
• Collaborate in an agile environment with distributed teams in Barcelona, Paris, Bordeaux, and Madrid
• Participate in an on-call rotation after the first three months, with additional economic compensation
