Griffith Foods is seeking a Planner Lead for the Valls site to manage the master production schedule and optimize inventory, service, and cost objectives. You will lead the planning team, align with sales, procurement and QA, and drive continuous improvements on site.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering or Economics, 5 years in planning/procurement, and fluency in English and Spanish. APICS certification is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and coach the planning team in Valls to deliver optimized production.
• Maintain daily production schedules based on Sales Orders and Forecasts.
• Coordinate the 2 weeks rolling plan with production, quality and procurement on site.
• Monitor inventory and forecasts to minimize costs and optimize working capital.
• Support Griffith Performance Excellence initiatives and KPI targets.
• Liaise with sales, operations, purchasing and R&D to optimize production within capacity.

Purpose of the Role

The Planner Lead is responsible for managing master production schedule for the Valls Site to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• To manage and coach the planning team in Valls with a purpose of delivering optimized production.
• Production schedules need to be maintained daily for all products. These are based on the available Sales Orders & Forecasts, considering the available production capacity and raw materials. Also making sure that the 2 weeks out rolling plan is being updated and coordinated with production, quality, and procurement on site.
• Assess current inventory levels and forecasts to make appropriate decisions that minimize costs and achieve corporate working capital and service level objectives. The inventory of finished products needs to be monitored closely as the scheduling and procurement team is responsible for the obsolete inventories. So, making sure the slow-moving stock is minimal is part of the job.
• Play a key role in GPE supporting initiatives (Griffith Performance Excellence) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) targets set in the Supply Chain. Take the end responsibility for any other projects outlined.
• Liaise with sales, operations, purchasing and R&D departments to optimize production within capacity restraints.
• Act as key contact person for any escalations on site related to production schedule. And liaise back to the Operations Manager and/or Supply Chain Lead on these escalations to look for corrective actions. Responsible for coaching direct reports.

Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Economics.
• APICS certification is an asset.
• Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Business, by preference being exposed to perishable products before.
• 5 years of experience in a planning or procurement role is a minimum requirement.
• Good coaching and communication skills, plus solid analytical skills is required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Compensation

Our starting base salary for this role is 42.300 EUR gross fix per year, plus extralegal benefits.
