Responsibilities

Tappx is a fast-growing AdTech company offering digital advertising solutions across multiple platforms, including mobile devices, OTT/CTV and desktop computers. At Tappx, we are continuing to grow and are looking for talented people to join our SSP Tech team within the IT department. As a PHP Backend Developer, you will design, implement and maintain SSP projects with varying levels of complexity and high scalability requirements. You will also have the opportunity to independently lead the full systems lifecycle, from conception and technical design to production deployment and monitoring.

• Design, build and maintain key products and initiatives, working iteratively, incrementally and in a decoupled way to make progress step by step and ensure everything is aligned with business needs and the roadmap.
• Design, build and maintain internal tools using multiple frameworks, from intranets to small apps for testing new products.
• Develop and maintain internal tools, mainly in PHP, and have the opportunity to lead their migration and refactoring towards lightweight, modular and efficient architectures.
• Proactively ensure code quality, security and maintainability through automated tests, adopting CI/CD practices and actively participating in code reviews and technical sync sessions.
• Identify security risks, technical debt and server performance bottlenecks that affect the roadmap at an early stage, proposing pragmatic refactoring and coordinating transparently with the team's technical leads.
• Take ownership of everything you work on and play an active role in defining features and requirements, as well as implementing best practices in projects.
• Take full ownership of your production components, measure the real impact of each new feature, interpret key performance and business metrics with the Data team, and help plan and estimate short- and long-term deliverables.
• Act as a point of support for resolving complex technical questions about the runtime environment, continuously research AdTech industry trends, integrate AI tools to optimize daily workflows and make strategic recommendations to the Product Owner.

• 4+ years of programming in backend environments, preferably in PHP, demonstrating adaptability and an agnostic mindset towards different stacks or languages.
• Experience integrating APIs.
• 2+ years working with MySQL.
• Ability to write efficient, scalable, secure, clear and well-documented code.
• A mindset focused on software engineering and problem-solving rather than a specific syntax, with proficiency in PHP and the ability to learn or work with other languages according to product needs.
• Knowledge of frontend web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS), with the ability to independently adjust views, integrate endpoints and confidently work on frontend code.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts simply, clearly and transparently to both engineering professionals and business stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize technical decisions according to the value they directly contribute to the end result, and to understand every stage of the software lifecycle, from conceptualization to production release.
• A consistently curious attitude, interest in AdTech technologies and confidence using AI tools to accelerate problem-solving and improve coding productivity.
