Navigos Search is seeking a Digital Retoucher / Photo Editor for a Barcelona-based role with global brands and high-volume visual content projects.

Responsibilities include hands-on retouching, quality control, and ensuring outputs meet creative standards while collaborating with international teams. Travel to Vietnam is required approximately 3 months per year with all costs covered.

Formación

• 2–5 years of professional experience in digital retouching, photo editing or image post-production.
• Experience in a commercial studio, post-production company, creative agency, outsourcing environment or e-commerce production team is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Camera Raw.

Digital Retoucher / Photo Editor

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Travel: Approximately 3 months per year in Vietnam (all costs are sponsored)

About the Role

We are looking for a Digital Retoucher / Photo Editor to join an international creative production environment supporting global brands and high-volume visual content projects.

This role combines hands-on image retouching, quality control, client communication and production improvement . You will work closely with creative and production teams to understand visual requirements, maintain consistent image quality and ensure that final deliverables meet the expected creative standards.

The position is particularly suitable for an experienced retoucher who would like to expand beyond purely executional work and take greater ownership of quality, communication and creative standards .

Key Responsibilities

Image Retouching & Quality Control

• Review and assess commercial images to ensure they meet defined visual and technical standards.
• Perform detailed retouching and image adjustments when required.
• Identify inconsistencies in colour, skin tones, lighting, composition and overall image quality.
• Ensure consistency across large volumes of images and different projects.
• Conduct final quality checks before delivery.

Creative Standards & Client Requirements

• Understand and interpret different brands' visual styles and requirements.
• Translate creative feedback and visual expectations into clear instructions for production teams.
• Help establish and maintain project-specific retouching guidelines.
• Communicate with international stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure that final output is aligned with the intended creative direction.

Production Improvement

• Identify recurring quality or workflow issues and investigate their root causes.
• Recommend improvements to production processes, tools and retouching techniques.
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, consistency and turnaround time.
• Stay up to date with developments in image production, retouching techniques and relevant technologies.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Support the development of retouching guidelines, reference materials and training content.
• Provide feedback and coaching to other retouchers/editors when needed.
• Share best practices and help improve the team's overall technical capabilities.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional experience in digital retouching, photo editing or image post-production.
• Experience in a commercial studio, post-production company, creative agency, outsourcing environment or e-commerce production team is highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Camera Raw .

Strong understanding of:

• Colour correction and colour consistency
• Beauty and skin retouching
• Image compositing
• Commercial/product image editing
• Image formats, resolution and colour profiles
• Experience working with high-volume image production is an advantage.
• Familiarity with batch processing, workflow optimisation or automation tools.
• Strong visual judgement and attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing or checking other people's work is highly valued.
• Experience providing guidance or training to junior editors/retouchers is a plus.
• Good understanding of commercial and e-commerce visual standards.
• Professional English communication skills, Fluent in Spanish AND/OR Italian
• Comfortable working with international teams and travelling internationally when required.
