Universidad de Alicante is inviting applications for a pre-doctoral researcher to join the project “Rational design of hybrid materials for lighting and photocatalysis” within the Department of Inorganic Chemistry. The position is fixed-term, 37.5 hours per week, and aims at pursuing doctoral training in cooperation with the Nanomolecular Technology Laboratory.

Qualifikationen

• Hold or be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Chemistry.
• Master’s degree in Materials Science or equivalent content.
• Meet the academic requirements necessary for admission to the University of Alicante PhD programme.

Aufgaben

• Zeolite synthesis via direct synthesis or phase transformation.
• Mesoporous zeolite synthesis through the use of organosilanes.
• Modification of zeolites by incorporating metal functionality.
• Physicochemical characterisation of materials (elemental composition, adsorption, IR/UV, XRD, TEM, XPS).
• Catalytic reactions and assistance in writing related publications and reports.

Ausbildung

Undergraduate degree in Chemistry

Master’s degree in Materials Science (MECES level 3 / EQF level 7)
