Zusammenfassung

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Villa research group. The project focuses on developing hybrid photoactive systems by merging molecular design, synthesis and materials assembly for light-driven micro/nanomotors and photocatalytic applications.

Candidates hold a PhD in organic, polymer or materials chemistry, have hands-on experience in organic or polymer synthesis and in characterizing molecules or polymers.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in organic, polymer, or materials chemistry required.
• Hands-on experience in organic or polymer synthesis.
• Experience with molecular/ polymer characterization.
• Knowledge of photochemistry or photophysics is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Design, synthesize and characterize organic molecules and/or polymers with photoactive properties.
• Incorporate photoactive blocks into materials and particles.
• Study structure–property relationships in photoactive systems.
• Characterize photophysical properties and nanomotor performance.
