Job summary

FUNDACIÓN PARA LA INVESTIGACIÓN MÉDICA APLICADA invites applications for a four-year full-time predoctoral contract in biomedicine. The PhD focuses on cooperative immune evasion in myelodysplastic syndromes, studying T cell activation, cytokine roles, and tumor antigen responses.

The student will join the Myelodysplastic Neoplasms group at CIMA Universidad de Navarra, collaborating with the Cancer Center. Strong teamwork and funding capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed Master’s degree or expected completion during 2026/27.
• Minimum undergraduate GPA equivalent to 8/10; exceptions possible with other relevant qualifications.
• Background in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or life sciences.
• English proficiency at B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Process primary patient samples and perform flow cytometry.
• Conduct single-cell sequencing and related assays.
• Perform statistical analyses and data visualization of experimental results.
• Contribute to scientific writing and dissemination at seminars and conferences.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and assist in experimental design.
