Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas in Barcelona seeks a motivated PhD candidate to join the ERC Advanced Grant HIDTECH project. The role centers on applying AI/ML to quantitative 3D texture data obtained by confocal microscopy to understand prehistoric tool use and reconstruct ancient technologies.

The candidate must be eligible for a PhD programme and be registered as a resident in Catalonia, with the project offering an international, interdisciplinary environment.

Formación

• Background in AI/ML, data science, statistics, CS, physics or math.
• Eligible for enrolment in a PhD programme.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and apply AI/ML methods to quantitative 3D surface texture data.
• Collaborate within ERC HIDTECH project at IMF-CSIC, Barcelona.
