Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is seeking a highly motivated predoctoral PhD researcher to join the Signal Theory and Communications Department. The project IDEALCV-CM aims to advance deep learning for computer vision in biomedical imaging and to develop physics-informed AI for multimodal data fusion, enabling hospital workflow integration.

Qualifications

• Solid background in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and Signal Processing.
• Proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks.
• MSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or related quantitative disciplines.
• Good command of written and spoken English for scientific writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on computer vision applications in biomedical imaging.
• Develop physics-informed AI with multimodal data fusion for pediatric ALL.
• Publish results in top journals and present at major conferences.
