The MEDAL lab at the CTB, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, invites applications for a data scientist with a PhD to study AI impact on professions and medical sector data pipelines. The role involves analyzing AI applications, evaluating services in data science workflows, and managing data in R and Python.

Candidates should have strong statistics, ML experience, and publications; collaboration in international environments is expected. Starting date 16 Jul 2026, permanent, full-time.

Formación

• PhD in a science-related discipline.
• Statistical modeling: ANOVA, hurdle and zero-inflated models, logistic regression, GLMs/GLMMs, GAMs, Bayesian analysis.
• Data science and ML: CNNs and predictive models, dimensionality reduction (PCA, PCoA, RDA) and PERMANOVA.
• Software and Programming: Solid skills in R, Python, Bash, SQL, Git, and Docker. Analysis and handling of complex datasets.
• Project management, strong cross-team communication skills, participation as an author in scientific publications, and collaboration in international environments.
