Factorial HR in Barcelona seeks a seasoned People Operations Specialist to own core HR processes and labor compliance. You will be the go-to for employees and managers, manage onboarding to offboarding, and ensure data lives in our HRIS with strong compliance practices.

You’ll work closely with the People team, external advisors, and other Business Units, driving process improvements while maintaining privacy and accuracy in a fast-paced tech environment.

• Expert-level Spanish and solid English required.
• Labor topics and providers in Spanish; international teams in English.
• 3–4 years in People Ops or HR generalist role.
• Experience in tech/scale-up environment preferred.
• Strong PRL and Spanish labor law understanding.
• Able to coordinate external prevention service (SPA) and follow up on preventive actions.
• Familiar with HRIS and able to leverage its features beyond the setup.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Rigor, detail and discretion.
• Organizational and process-management capabilities.
• Adaptable to change and comfortable navigating ambiguity.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain compliance with external labor advisors: employment law, collective agreements, working time records and audits, proactively.
• Coordinate PRL and Equality Plan; liaise with SPA and keep indicators and policies moving.
• Improve day-to-day processes using headcount, turnover and absenteeism data; propose fixes.

About the role

As a People Operations Specialist, you will wear three hats: you will be the go-to person for our employees and managers on their day‑to‑day, the owner of the processes and systems behind it, and our internal reference for labor compliance, PRL and the Equality Plan. Working closely with the People team, our external advisors and the People Ops teams across our Business Units, you will have real ownership from day one and the space to leave our processes better than you found them.

What will you be doing

• Be the go-to person for employees and managers. Contracts, payroll, benefits, policies: clear and human answers, even on the sensitive stuff.
• Own the employee lifecycle. Onboarding, offboarding, documentation and contract changes — you run the key moments and improve them as you go.
• Make our HRIS work for us. Employee data, workflows and troubleshooting, so our processes live in the system instead of in someone's head.
• Keep us compliant, with backup. Together with our external labor advisors: employment law, collective agreements, working time records and audits, handled before they become urgent.
• Coordinate PRL and the Equality Plan. You are the internal point of contact with our prevention service (SPA), and you keep the Equality Plan, its indicators and its policies moving.
• Turn the day‑to‑day into better processes. Headcount, turnover and absenteeism data, the inefficiencies you spot along the way, and the fix you actually propose.

Your profile

Expert‑level Spanish and solid English is a must! Labor topics and providers in Spanish, our international teams in English.

3‑4 years in People Ops, HR or a similar generalist role. You know the truth, the sweet and the sour, ideally with the hustle of a tech or scale‑up company.

Good understanding of Health & Safety (PRL) and Spanish labor law. You don't need to be a qualified PRL technician: you know the fundamentals, you are comfortable coordinating an external prevention service (SPA) and following up on preventive actions, and you know when to bring in a specialist.

Comfortable with an HRIS. Factorial, Personio, BambooHR or similar — and curious enough to get more out of a tool than it was set up to give.

People person with communication superpowers. People come to you because you are approachable and because you explain complex things simply.

Rigor, detail and discretion. Sensitive information and legal requirements, treated with the care they deserve.

Organizational wizardry. Several processes moving at once, providers to chase, and not a single detail missed.

Change is the constant. You take ownership in ambiguous situations and would rather build the process than wait for it to exist.
