This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine precision with care, ensuring every AirHelper has a smooth, compliant, and rewarding employee experience.
You’ll be part of our Global People Team, a cross-border group of experts supporting teams across Europe. Together, you’ll build and run the infrastructure that keeps AirHelp’s culture strong and our people supported as we scale globally.
What you’ll drive:

- Lead payroll and compensation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Create and manage employment documents across the full employee lifecycle.
- Ensure full compliance with Spanish labor law, collective agreements, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Support People Managers with expert guidance on labor compliance and people policies.
- Coordinate benefits and health insurance administration locally and across geographies.
- Play a key role in onboarding new AirHelpers and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Respond to employee queries with empathy, speed, and precision.
- Deliver internal reports and partner with external providers when needed.
- Contribute to international projects and initiatives across our People Operations function.
What you’ll achieve in 12 months
- Understand Airhelp’s mission, products, organizational structure, and hiring priorities. Develop a deep understanding of how the Spanish team fits into the broader business strategy, ensuring People Operations initiatives directly support Airhelp’s growth and culture.
- Take full ownership of the Spanish payroll process. Run independent monthly payroll cycles without errors or compliance breaches.
- Achieve full compliance readiness. Conduct a comprehensive audit of labor, social security, and data protection compliance; propose and implement any required updates to meet Spanish legal and collective agreement obligations.
- Enhance cross-border collaboration. Partner with global People Operations peers to harmonize policies, share best practices, (payroll, benefits, compliance, onboarding, offboarding), ensuring consistency and alignment with global practices.
What sets you apart
- At least 5 years of experience managing HR for Spanish organizations.
- Solid understanding of Spanish labor law and payroll processes.
- Hands‑on experience managing HR administration and benefits.
- Interest in Health & Safety and operational compliance.
- Proactive, organized, and detail‑driven mindset - you make things happen.
- Strong collaboration skills in an international, multicultural environment.
