Webcargo in Barcelona seeks a Payments Operations Analyst to optimize and automate global payment processes. You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Product and Tech to scale credit programs and improve customer experiences.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, monitoring key metrics, and leveraging AI tools to streamline operations and reduce risk. Strong English communication and 5+ years in finance/payments are required.

• Experience with complex data stream reconciliation and settlements.

Responsibilities

• Payments is an integral part of Freightos’ offering, enabling sellers and buyers on our platform to transact in a secure, risk-free and seamless manner. Our payments platform operates globally, combining our internal capabilities with best-in-class fintech partnerships
• We are looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Payments Operations Analyst to join our team in Barcelona. In this role, you will orchestrate our global payment platform, leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to automate complex data streams, scale our credit programs and drive frictionless customer experiences
• Map and analyze Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and reconciliation workflows to uncover opportunities for efficiency and automation
• Partner with Finance, Product and Technology teams to co-design, build and deploy intelligent, AI-driven automation solutions
• Foster a rigorous, data-driven culture by defining, tracking and reporting key metrics that evaluate payment operations performance
• Own, streamline, and automate credit processes across the entire customer lifecycle, from initial underwriting to ongoing portfolio management
• Build and maintain automated monitoring tools to track credit and fraud risk, proactively identifying trigger events and alerting key stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and Operations
• Accelerate adoption of new payment programs by streamlining onboarding process and cross-partner workflows
• Audit and monitor multi-channel data streams from different fintech partners, identifying and resolving settlement or transactional discrepancies

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
• Strong communication skills with written and spoken English fluency.
• Ability to build strong internal relationships and operate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
• Aptitude and experience in utilizing AI tools to automate tasks and optimize operational workflows.
• At least 5 years of experience in operational analysis, specifically within Finance or Payments functions.
• College degree in a related field.
• Understanding of credit risk.
• Experience with complex data stream reconciliation.
