A global biopharma company in Barcelona is seeking a PSP Therapeutic area director to drive the development and implementation of international strategies. This role requires significant experience in the biopharma industry and strong communication skills to enhance patient services. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in managing performance and ensuring compliance, working closely with various teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences. The PSP Therapeutic area director is responsible for driving the development and implementation of the international strategy for the assigned business unit as well as for potential future line extensions indications and assets. This critical role will be responsible for working closely with Local Medical Heads and Business Units leadership to manage business performance and identify opportunities to improve performance to better serve patients.
An essential element of success is a demonstrated ability to influence without authority and successfully negotiate and collaborate cross‑functionally (e.g. marketing, market access, commercial, operations, compliance, IT, legal, regulatory, training, medical and field leadership). Reporting to the Head of Patient Support Programs this role is a high‑profile position with the opportunity to make a major impact on patients’ lives and at Alexion Astra Zeneca Rare Disease.
