Patient Navigator & Clinical Enrollment Manager (Contract)
About the Role
Innovative Trials a global leader in patient recruitment and retention is seeking a Patient Navigator & Clinical Enrollment Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a candidate who is a registered nurse or a doctor. In this unique dual-focused role you will be a key point of contact for patients participating in clinical trials while also providing crucial support to our clinical research sites. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the success of clinical trials by building relationships addressing challenges and ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and sites.
What Youll Do
Patient Support
- Serve as a compassionate and knowledgeable point of contact for patients and caregivers managing inbound and outbound communications via phone email and web chat.
- Provide emotional support and address a wide range of inquiries from general trial information to specific questions about protocols visit schedules and safety events.
- Conduct prescreening calls with potential patients who have shown interest in a trial and determine initial eligibility based on a scripted checklist.
- Help address patient retention barriers and ensure they receive the care and guidance they need throughout their trial journey.
- Recognize and triage queries that require escalation to emergency services the clinical site or our internal teams.
Site Support & Optimization
- Act as an expert resource for clinical sites building strong relationships with Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and other stakeholders.
- Provide coaching and motivation to sites helping them identify and overcome recruitment challenges and implement new strategies.
- Assist sites with tasks like chart reviews and data entry to reduce backlogs and streamline the recruitment process.
- Facilitate community outreach by traveling to sites or designated locations to increase trial awareness among healthcare professionals and the community.
- Focus on developing personalized engagement strategies for each site to boost patient recruitment and retention.
What Youll Bring
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical research environment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD) qualification is essential.
- A deep understanding of patient recruitment for clinical trials and the challenges faced by both sites and patients.
- Current GCP certification and a strong commitment to adhering to all relevant regulations (HIPAA GDPR etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and local languages.
- Proficiency in a variety of computer systems including Microsoft Office / Google Suite, helpdesk software, and video conferencing tools.
- An ability to manage multiple tasks and communications simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- A self-motivated organized and collaborative approach to your work.
- Knowledge of the local healthcare system is essential.
- Experience in Mental Health First Aid is a plus.
