The establishment aims to celebrate Mediterranean culinary traditions, creating shared experiences and bringing people together through its exceptional pastries.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pastry Chef located in Barcelona. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for :

  • Recipe Development : Invent and test new dessert recipes, pastries, chocolates, confections, and baked goods to ensure high quality and originality.
  • Preparation and Baking : Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and frostings, and execute baking and decorating processes with accuracy.
  • Presentation : Decorate desserts with attention to detail, ensuring an appealing visual presentation that aligns with the establishment’s standards.
  • Quality Control : Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in the kitchen while continuously monitoring the quality of ingredients and finished products.
  • Inventory Management : Order, receive, and store ingredients and supplies; monitor stock levels to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with executive chefs, other kitchen staff, and the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Menu Planning : Assist in designing and updating dessert menus, considering customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and current culinary trends.
  • Training : Supervise and mentor junior staff, including apprentice bakers and pastry assistants, to develop their skills and maintain consistency.

  • Food Preparation and Culinary Skills
  • Experience in Cooking, with a focus on pastry-making
  • Attention to detail and creativity in crafting high-quality pastries
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, on-site environment
  • Basic knowledge of Lebanese pastries and Mediterranean cuisine is a plus
  • Flexibility to adapt to business needs and collaborate with a dynamic team
  • Relevant culinary qualification or certification is advantageous
