Descripción del empleo
About Omwani

Omwani is a relationship-driven East African green coffee importer. We exist to bridge the gap between roasters and producers, working only with partners who share our values of sustainability, transparency, and community impact. Our team moves fast, we’re open with information, and we care deeply about building genuine, long‑term relationships across the supply chain.

We’re growing in Spain and Portugal – and we’re looking for someone to lead that charge.

The Role

This is a new role, focused on building our presence in Spain and Portugal (with scope to support other Southern European markets when needed).

You’ll spend your time meeting roasters, uncovering opportunities, and helping them grow through our producer‑led sourcing approach. The role is remote, but you’ll be out on the road often – visiting roasteries across Iberia, attending sales events, and joining quarterly team meetings in the UK.

We’re not looking for a pushy salesperson. We’re looking for someone consultative, curious, and proactive – someone who can build trust quickly, translate our value proposition clearly, and turn opportunities into long‑term partnerships.

What Success Looks Like
  • First month - learning our producer stories, and deeply understanding how we work.
  • First 3 months – meeting roasters across Spain and Portugal in person, turning conversations into closed business.
  • 3 - 6 months – Building a clear path to profitability in the territory.
  • Beyond – being the go‑to Omwani contact for Southern Europe, with strong roaster relationships and a growing sales pipeline. As the region grows, there’s the opportunity to step into a leadership role and build a sales team to support expansion.
Tasks
  • Lead outreach (warm and cold) to roasters across Spain and Portugal.
  • Arrange regular in‑person visits (twice a month on average) to build stronger connections.
  • Log all activity in our CRM and keep pipelines up‑to‑date.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure roasters are receiving relevant, consistent communications.
  • Support Omwani’s wider EU events and organise in‑territory events where needed.
  • Own sales activity metrics (in year one) and revenue targets (from month 6 onward).
Requirements

Must‑haves:

  • Fluent Spanish and English.
  • Right to work in the EU.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Spain and Portugal.
  • Organised, customer‑focused, and a clear communicator.
  • A proactive, self‑driven salesperson with a bias for action.

Nice‑to‑haves:

  • Previous experience in the coffee industry (roastery, importing, equipment, or related).
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of the green coffee supply chain.
  • Proficient in another European Language.
Benefits
  • Salary: €28,000 – €35,000 depending on experience.
  • Flexibility: Manage your own time and workload – we care about outcomes, not micromanagement.
  • Pension contribution.
  • Travel opportunities across Europe and to origin.
  • Training budget: €500/year for your development.
  • Team events: Quarterly meetups and in‑person sessions with the wider team.

At Omwani, we’re building something different. We put producer relationships first, we’re radically transparent with our partners, and we’re driven by impact as much as growth.

This is a chance to take ownership of a new market in a fast‑paced, supportive environment – and to grow your career while helping roasters connect with incredible coffees and producers.

If that excites you, we’d love to hear from you.
