Amentum is seeking a Ground Cargo / Freight Supervisor to lead cargo operations for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee loading, unloading, and shipment of cargo, including hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with NAVSEA OP-2239 and federal standards.

The role requires 4–6 years in cargo operations, strong supervision skills, and the ability to manage documentation and safety programs across a multinational workforce. International travel and security clearances are expected.

Formación

• 4–6 years of cargo-loading or freight terminal experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cargo prep, loading, and unloading for air, sea, and ground transportation.
• Experience with explosives, ammunition, HAZMAT per NAVSEA OP-2239 and federal regs.
• Ability to supervise and train staff in cargo operations.
• Proficient in transportation documentation (manifests, bills of lading, packing lists).
• Able to obtain security clearances and travel internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise cargo-loading services and ensure timely loading.
• Ensure hazmat and dangerous goods compliance during handling and transport.
• Oversee packing and marking of retrograde items per NAVSUP publications.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents (manifests, bills of lading).
• Lead a multinational freight team and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and inventory for cargo operations.
• Coordinate with government personnel and vendors to meet deadlines.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
