SGS invites applications for an Oracle EPM Specialist within the Corporate IT team in Madrid. You will develop and deploy Hyperion EPM components, manage metadata, calculations, and security, and support monthly close processes.

Responsibilities include coordinating with infrastructure and outsourcers, evaluating development estimates, and providing expert guidance on EPM system design and governance. A strong communication ability is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in IT/CS or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Hyperion or EPM products.
• Experience in development of EPM systems across lifecycle.
• Oracle EPM Cloud experience desirable.
• Experience communicating technical info to non-technical audiences.

Job Description

The Oracle EPM Specialist is a position within the Corporate Information Technology (IT) team, responsible for the technical and functional development of Hyperion products (Planning, Essbase and HFM), maintaining and deploying small developments, working as part of a team of specialist.

Oracle EPM expert will actively development activities, review business requirements and specifications, provide support for month end activities, task their prioritization and calendarization, managing business requests, gathering requirements and preparing implementation plans and system documentation.

This role supervises the maintenance of EPM applications, including metadata management, calculation scripts, business rules, reports and dashboards. Oracle EPM Specialist also supports Service Managers by providing information or clarifications on incidents or requests as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month end support and maintenance for the Oracle EPM applications.
• Oracle EPM specialist is responsible for ensuring that development estimates made by partners are reasonable and acceptable.
• Monitor 2nd or 3rd Level Support, working closely with Oracle EPM Application Maintenance Teams, business users, infrastructure team and application outsourcer (Oracle).
• Attend internal and external service meetings to discuss incidents and improvement plans.
• Manage and monitor issues closely and ensure their resolution according to applicable escalation procedures.
• Perform regular service quality checks on incident tickets and requests and prepare improvement plans.
• Maintain the access and security configurations, ensuring the right level of control in line with the standards required by system auditors and internal controls.
• Monitor monthly maintenance activities: Maintain metadata, member list, FX Rates, business rules and validation checks.
• Support the year end Rollover activities, and support any other activity related financial closing.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure teams, Solution Architects, Delivery managers and Application Outsourcers for any initiative that will require SGS engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s with relevant IT or Computer science background.
• High Level Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related subjects.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Hyperion or related EPM products on any of the following processes:
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting.
  • Enterprise Data Management & Essbase.
  • HFM – Hyperion Financial Consolidation
  • EPM Technical Architecture.
• Solid experience in development activities of EPM systems at any stage of its life cycle.
• Experience in Oracle EPM Cloud is desirable.
• Front-end customer support experience is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Experience in business analysis and defining cases is desirable.
• Getting commitment to action by considering impacts. Combining formal and informal communication channels to achieve the desired result.
