Job summary

Red Hat is seeking a Platform Consultant to join the Consulting Services team in Spain. You will be the subject matter expert on OpenShift and related infrastructure, delivering on-site implementations and ensuring a positive customer experience.

You will work with enterprise stakeholders across deployments, provide guidance on platform deployment, and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices. Travel up to 50% is expected, with bilingual Spanish/English communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a consulting role.
• Experience with enterprise stakeholders on development and deployment projects.
• Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers.
• Knowledge and experience implementing and deploying container technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments, including highly customized and multi-cluster environments.
• Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technology and container technologies like Red Hat OpenShift and RHACM, and related infrastructure technologies on a delivery level.
• Hands-on experience implementing DevOps principles and GitOps-driven workflows.
• Ability to code in some programming languages (Go, Python, Java...).
• Knowledge of Ansible and Automation.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders of technical and business audiences.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, planning and communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on applications and infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability and system resilience.
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs.
• Adapt to changing customer requirements.
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, customer training, and deployment of complex open source solutions.
• Deliver quality results both on-site and post-engagement that are on time and within the scope of the assigned project, including project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation.
• Understand industry practices and Red Hat's policies, procedures, and values.
• Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting best methods to obtain solutions.
