The role involves installing and troubleshooting network systems, with required knowledge in network infrastructure and firewalls. A degree in engineering or computer science is essential, alongside experience in LAN/WAN architecture. The position offers a fixed-term contract with full-time hours during peak project periods.

Overview

Location: Valladolid, Spain

Our purpose is to accelerate the transition to clean, affordable energy for all. We are looking to hire a Communications Network Supervisor for the solar plant construction project in Olmedo, Valladolid.

Job title: Communications Network Supervisor (solar plant construction project in Olmedo, Valladolid)

Responsibilities

• Install network and computer systems; understand types of cables used (fibre optic, Ethernet) and types of connectors.
• Basic knowledge of networks, diagnose network problems and design solutions.
• Ensure the proper functioning of the network.
• Knowledge of Fortinet firewall administration.
• Configuration of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches.
• IP address auditing.
• Familiarity or experience with photovoltaic plants or renewable energy.
• Basic knowledge of electricity.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or FPII in the same field.
• Essential: 20 or 60-hour PRL course in construction, approved by the construction labour foundation.
• Understanding of network infrastructure and hardware, network security.
• Experience in LAN and WAN network architecture.
• Knowledge of operating systems: Linux, Windows.
• Ability to learn quickly about new technologies and products.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for network functions.
