On-Board Software Engineer - (9-month contract) - Remote EU - [25152]

HE Space has joined forces with CS Group to lead the engineering and digital space market in Europe and to provide highly skilled consulting.

Overview

You will help deliver solutions for satellite-based systems that can position and connect anyone and anything, anywhere. These systems can also be used to observe our planet, optimise the use of its resources, and even communicate with spacecraft to help us discover the universe!

Responsibilities

• Define and monitor the whole embedded SW development cycle
• Define SW specifications from system specifications
• Define SW architecture
• Identify, prioritise, and assign the SW activities following Agile methodology
• Coordinate with other engineering teams such as system, HW, FW, validation
• Lead the elaboration of technical documentation
• Participate in the SW development milestones with the customer
• Participate in bid proposals

Qualifications

• Degree in software engineering, telecommunication engineering, industrial engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, mathematics, or other similar technical discipline. An advanced degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience would be a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in real-time embedded SW development
• Knowledge of the V development cycle
• Understanding of a whole system, including embedded SW
• Experience in Agile methodology
• Knowledge of the ECSS process
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Spanish or French is an advantage
