Job summary

Under Armour in Madrid is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, coach teammates, and drive sales while upholding brand standards. You will analyze weekly performance, manage payroll and schedules, and ensure a high‑quality, customer‑focused shopping experience that motivates the team.

The role requires at least 1 year of retail experience, full-time availability including evenings and weekends, fluency in the local language, and comfort with handheld devices.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school degree or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in a retail environment.
• Local language fluency required; basic English is a plus.
• Available to work full time hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as hand-held and mobile devices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Can lift and move cartons weighing up to 25 lbs./12 kg during shifts.
• Knowledge of employment laws including compliance with local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, profitability, and other key store objectives.
• Recruit, hire, coach and retain a high-performing team.
• Analyze daily sales trends to make real-time strategic decisions.
• Manage payroll and schedule adjustments to maximize productivity.
• Direct merchandising moves to maintain brand standards and a presentable sales floor.
• Understand loss prevention standards and monitor audit results.
• Lead ownership of Talent, Visuals, Operations to gain cross-area experience.
• Support omni-channel efforts through Apps and social campaigns.
• Deliver a compelling vision and reinforce UA’s core competencies.
• Drive teammate engagement and recognize outstanding performance.
• Identify and resolve teammate performance issues.
• Communicate priority issues to the Store Manager and collaborate on solutions.
• Reinforce Under Armour policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
