FedEx Logistics in Barcelona is seeking an Ocean Freight Coordinator to process, book and monitor sea freight orders, coordinate handling partners at seaports and ensure compliance with internal guidelines.

You will interact with customers and overseas offices, manage documents, and support pricing and KPI goals while contributing to continuous process improvements and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Shipping, Transport and/or Logistics or equivalent.
• Freight forwarding pricing experience – minimum 3 years.
• Understanding of ocean products, regulations and procedures.
• Networking experience – very good.
• Microsoft Office knowledge – excellent.
• Cargowise knowledge – a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Process and book ocean freight orders.
• Coordinate handling partners at seaports and with freight forwarders.
• Prepare and check documents for sea freight handling.
• Customs processing and handling of imports/exports where applicable.
• Communicate with overseas offices & customers; support pricing.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Update customer SOPs and participate in process improvements.
• Process invoices and support month-end accruals.

The primary purpose of the position is to process, coordinate and monitor assigned ocean freight activities. This contributes significantly to the achievement of our operational targets and customer satisfaction.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions

• Contact with our customers, ensuring optimal support and implementing alternative solutions in case of unexpected problems
• Communication with our FedEx Logistics overseas offices & agents
• Processing of orders with our internal systems
• Booking of shipments, transport processing as well as coordination of handling partners at the seaports
• Preparation of required documents for sea freight handling and checking them regarding correctness
• Customs processing and handling of worldwide imports and exports, as well as recording and completing information in our systems according to AEO requirements.
• Support of internal projects & optimization of operational processes
• Communication with our pricing department
• Compliance & control of KPIs targets
• Responsible for updating customer SOPs in compliance with internal guidelines
• Creation of invoices to customers
• Control of incoming invoices
• Accrual of individual orders for the month-end closing
• Administration
• Representation of colleagues in case of absence
• Ensuring the smooth processing of ocean freight orders
• Regularly keep up to date, respect and comply with internal policies, processes and regulations
• Completing mandatory FedEx trainings and other trainings needed for Regulatory purposes

Education

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Shipping, Transport and/or Logistics.

Experience And Knowledge

• Freight Forwarding Pricing Experience – min 3 years.
• Understanding of ocean products, regulations and procedures – Excellent
• Networking experience – Very good
• Microsoft knowlegde – Excellent
