The role involves overseeing operations, ensuring safety, and implementing maintenance strategies, requiring strong engineering knowledge and minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates must be fluent in English and willing to relocate.

Cox O&M is looking for an O&M Manager / Deputy Plant Manager to lead the maintenance operations at the Jafurah Desalination Plant.

Reporting to the Plant Director, this role is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing all operation and maintenance activities, ensuring the efficiency, reliability and safety of the installation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, quality, and safety activities of the plant.
• Coordinate work shifts and optimize team performance and technical resources.
• Maximize operational and production capacity through performance analysis.
• Identify, plan, and implement organizational and productivity improvements.
• Design, supervise, and implement operational, maintenance, and laboratory quality plans.
• Supervise operational sequences, chemical dosing strategies, and SCADA system performance.
• Coordinate technical training and staff development.
• Implement and ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety plans.
• Manage human, technical, and financial resources of the contract.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Apply advanced knowledge in RO processes, SCADA systems, HACCP, and QA practices.
• Deploy & inventory management of critical spare parts and consumables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Fluent English (C1 or higher) is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial facility management, preferably in water or desalination.
• Proven experience in operation and maintenance of industrial plants.
• Advanced knowledge of RO processes, SCADA systems, chemical dosing, and quality management.
• Strong awareness of safety, environmental, and quality standards (HACCP / QA).
• Proficient in office software and management systems.
• Experience in inventory control and resource planning.
• Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
