Job summary

Digital Links Inc. seeks a Network Security Engineer to design and maintain secure, scalable enterprise networks in Spain. You will work across Cisco routing, switching, Meraki devices, and F5 solutions, ensuring robust security posture and high availability.

The role emphasizes hands-on expertise in cloud networking (AWS), VPNs, and ITIL-aligned operations, with a focus on proactive threat assessment and incident response in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies in enterprise networks.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, F5 load balancers, and Cisco Firepower.
• Experience with AWS networking concepts (VPC, routing, security groups).
• Familiarity with ITIL-based operating environments and incident management.
• Proven troubleshooting and operational support in complex environments.
• Ability to assess threats, risks, and impacts with analytical thinking.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN, DNS, authentication services, and monitoring.

Job description

The resource MUST have the following skills and experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including switching and routing
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki solutions
• Proven experience working with F5 load balancers
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and protocols
• Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
• RFP Request Terms of Reference for Consultancy Services
• Strong experience with firewall technologies (Cisco Firepower and F5 AFM)
• Good understanding of networking in cloud environments (AWS or similar)
• Experience or knowledge of networking concepts in AWS (VPC, routing, security
• groups, connectivity)
• Good understanding of network security concepts and best practices
• Experience working in ITIL-based environments
• Proven troubleshooting and operational support experience in complex environments
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity risk management processes and the ability to
• assess threat relevance, impact, and risk.
• Knowledge of enterprise LAN, data centre, and WAN technologies, including SD-WAN,
• DIA, MPLS, DNS, authentication services, and network monitoring.
• Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills, including critical thinking
• when assessing vulnerabilities, threats, impact, and risk.

The resource SHOULD have the following skills and experience:

• Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec)
• Experience with network monitoring and performance analysis tools
• Familiarity with multi-vendor environments
