Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Sevilla seeks a Pathology Specialist to advance molecular diagnostics and greenhouse‑based phenotyping in support of our research programs, expanding the Sevilla lab's capabilities.

You will execute PCR/RT‑PCR workflows, deliver results with high accuracy, ensure data quality and traceability, and collaborate with the Pathology Leader and cross‑functional teams to refine strategies and SOPs. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in plant Pathology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with PCR / RT‑PCR and pathogen detection.
• Experience working in an applied research or diagnostic laboratory environment.
• Strong execution mindset with attention to detail and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate PCR and RT‑PCR‑based pathogen diagnostics with high accuracy and consistency.
• Provide scientific input into phenotyping strategies and disease screening approaches
• Own daily molecular workflows include sample preparation, assay execution, and results delivery.
• Support greenhouse disease phenotyping activities, ensuring alignment between phenotypic and molecular data.
• Ensure data quality, traceability, and documentation across lab workflows.
• Contribute to SOP adherence and continuous improvement of lab processes.
• Contribute to medium and long‑term pathology strategy, including technology upgrades and capability expansion.
