Job summary

Apple’s Machine Learning Research (MLR) team invites motivated interns to explore next-generation ML techniques, focusing on recurrent and generative models, interpretability, and alignment. You will work under a dedicated senior researcher, collaborating with an international team of researchers and engineers to design experiments and drive publishable results.

As an intern, you will help shape research directions, publish in top venues by year-end, and ensure research aligns with Apple’s

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Strong publication record in relevant conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV).
• Hands-on experience with Python and deep learning toolkits such as PyTorch and Jax.
• Ability to formulate a research problem, design experiments and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary international team of researchers and engineers.
• Decide on a line of research with mentorship support and pursue a publication in a top ML venue.
• Deliver ML research aligned with Apple values including privacy and rigor.
• Contribute to open scientific questions and publish findings in conferences.
