Present Connection is seeking a Mid engineer with a strong inclination towards Site Reliability Engineering to join one of Europe’s largest internet service providers. You will focus on monitoring services and devices, joining the SMSA squad and driving improvements across passive and active monitoring platforms.

The role emphasizes unification of monitoring solutions, incident response, and collaboration across multiple sub-projects with a flexible, evolving backlog.

Qualifications

• Good operating systems knowledge, with a focus on Linux.
• Excellent knowledge of networking.
• Experience with Logstash, Filebeat, Metricbeat, Elasticsearch, Kibana.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Ansible and Git.
• Experience with passive monitoring suites (Nagios, Icinga, Cacti).
• Understanding of active monitoring suites (Selenium, Playwright).
• Result-oriented engineering mindset, comfortable working in a standalone mode.
• Nice to have: Programming experience (Python, Golang, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor services, servers and devices within the SMSA squad.
• Maintain and enhance monitoring solutions, including in-house tools and third-party software.
• Support mission-critical systems and respond to incidents.
• Unify monitoring landscape to improve stability and efficiency across networks.
• Work on evolving backlog of monitoring and service assurance initiatives across sub-projects.
