FMIT Technologies S.L. in Málaga is seeking a Mid Backend Software Engineer to design and optimize backend systems, shaping scalable architecture and maintaining code quality. You will mentor juniors and act as a technical reference, working across dev, staging, and production in a hybrid setup.

The role demands hands‑on expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript/Python with Express, FastAPI, or Fastify, plus PostgreSQL and Kafka. A strong emphasis on clean, testable code and collaboration is expected.

Formación

• Professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python, implementing real business logic autonomously.
• Solid hands-on experience with Express, FastAPI, or Fastify, and designing scalable backend services.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, schema design, query optimization, data integrity.
• Experience with Kafka or similar for asynchronous, service-to-service communication.
• Comfortable working across dev, staging, and production environments.
• You write clean, testable code, and you're just as comfortable reviewing someone else's.

The Role

As a Mid Backend Software Engineer, you'll independently design, build, and optimize backend systems, not just implement tickets. You'll help shape scalable architecture, keep code quality high, and act as a technical reference point for junior engineers on the team. This is a role for someone who's past needing guardrails and ready to help set them for others.
