INFINNI is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and scale backend services powering our global products. You’ll work on scalable distributed systems, crafting high-performance software across Europe and Asia, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development with Java/Spring, experience with RESTful APIs, and strong knowledge of distributed architectures.

Formación

• 5 years of backend software development with Java and distributed systems.
• Expertise in Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs with versioning.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems.
• Cloud and DevOps familiarity: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build and scale the backend systems powering our global products and platforms.

You will work on highly scalable distributed systems, contribute to the design and implementation of mission-critical services, and collaborate closely with engineering teams across Europe and Asia.

What You’ll Do:

Backend Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and distributed systems
• Build high-quality, maintainable, and production-ready software using Java and the Spring ecosystem
• Design and implement clean, reliable, and well-documented RESTful APIs
• Develop resilient event-driven and asynchronous services using modern messaging platforms
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilization
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system stability and operational excellence

System Design & Technical Contribution

• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
• Design scalable solutions for high-concurrency, low-latency, and highly available systems
• Improve system observability through monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting
• Identify technical debt and continuously improve system quality and maintainability
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high engineering standards and best practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and other engineering teams
• Work effectively with distributed engineering teams across Europe and Asia
• Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to deployment and production operations
• Share technical knowledge and contribute to a collaborative, transparent engineering culture

What We’re Looking ForCore Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience in backend software development, specializing in Java and distributed systems
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with solid expertise in object-oriented design, clean code, and maintainable system architecture
• Extensive experience building and operating microservices using the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, networking, and operating systems
• Experience designing scalable and distributed systems with a solid understanding of consistency, fault tolerance, high availability, and scalability
• Proficient in designing RESTful APIs with a strong focus on API usability, versioning, and maintainability
• Extensive experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Strong expertise in SQL optimization, indexing strategies, schema design, query tuning, and database scalability
• Hands‑on experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems
• Proven experience designing and optimizing high-throughput, low-latency, and highly available production systems
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development using Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiar with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure automation, and production monitoring
• Experience delivering complex production systems throughout the full software development lifecycle, from architecture design to deployment and ongoing operation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and distributed teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, or Electron
• Experience working in international or distributed engineering teams
• Experience in high-growth startups or fast-paced product organizations
• Experience building developer platforms, infrastructure tooling, or AI-enabled systems
• Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools
• Experience contributing to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
