Job summary

DKB Code Factory GmbH in Valencia invites an Android Developer to shape a scalable mobile banking app for small and medium businesses. You will work with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM to implement features, test, and release with a collaborative team.

You’ll integrate RESTful APIs with Retrofit, manage asynchronous flows with Coroutines, and help maintain code quality and performance while upholding security and accessibility standards. English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional native Android development with Kotlin.
• Proficiency in Jetpack Compose and MVVM architecture.
• Experience with Retrofit, Coroutines, Flow and asynchronous state management.
• Solid understanding of Android UI guidelines, accessibility and secure coding.

Responsibilities

At DKB Code Factory, we’re building the mobile banking app that small and mid-sized businesses actually need. As an Android Developer, you’ll help lay the technical foundation of a scalable, user-centric product; using modern Android technologies, shaping standards, and growing alongside a collaborative, curious team.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and MVVM architecture, ensuring clean, scalable and maintainable code.
• Take ownership of well-defined features throughout the development lifecycle, from refinement and implementation to testing and release.
• Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit and manage asynchronous operations with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Build reusable UI components and ensure consistent, intuitive and accessible user experiences.
• Write unit tests, participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and application stability.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while considering performance, security and data privacy requirements.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Backend and other developers to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical discussions, share knowledge and continuously improve development practices.

Following qualifications would be in line with our desired profile for this position

• 4+ years of professional experience in native Android development, with hands-on experience using Kotlin and modern Android development frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose, Android lifecycle components and MVVM architecture.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow and asynchronous state management.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs using Retrofit or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito, as well as Git and code review practices.
• Good understanding of Android UI guidelines, accessibility, application performance and secure coding practices.
• Ability to independently deliver features, troubleshoot issues and make sound technical decisions within established architecture.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional environments with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English communication skills; Spanish is a plus.
