Job summary

Qualifications

Android Developer – Kotlin & Jetpack Compose (m/f/d)

For an established company in the digital financial services sector, we are looking for an experienced Android Developer (m/f/d) to contribute to the development of a modern mobile application.

In this role, you will work with a contemporary Android technology stack, take ownership of new features and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to build reliable, scalable and user-friendly mobile solutions.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop and enhance native Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and MVVM
• Independently implement features throughout the development cycle, from technical refinement to deployment
• Connect mobile applications to backend services through REST APIs, using Retrofit or comparable technologies
• Work with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow to handle asynchronous operations and application state
• Develop reusable UI components with a focus on usability, accessibility and maintainability
• Ensure application quality through automated unit testing, code reviews and systematic troubleshooting
• Optimize application performance, stability and security while considering data protection requirements
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX/UI Design, QA and Backend Engineering
• Contribute ideas to architectural discussions, development standards and continuous improvements

Your profile:

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing native Android applications
• Strong practical knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development technologies
• Solid experience with Jetpack Compose, MVVM and Android lifecycle components
• Confident working with Coroutines, Flow and asynchronous programming concepts
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs using Retrofit or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with testing tools such as JUnit and Mockito, as well as Git-based development workflows
• Good understanding of mobile application architecture, UI principles, accessibility and secure coding
• Ability to take responsibility for features and independently solve technical challenges
• Experience collaborating in agile, cross-functional development teams
• Fluent English communication skills; Spanish language skills are an advantage
