Job summary

DKB Code Factory GmbH is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Business Banking Credit team in Valencia, Spain. You will build and nurture a high-performing full-stack engineering team, driving delivery excellence and technical innovation that directly impacts Business Banking customers.

You will own people leadership and technology strategy in an agile environment, coaching engineers, steering the technical roadmap, and ensuring collaboration with product, platform, and business

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software teams in agile, full-stack environments.
• Strong backend and/or mobile development background.
• Skilled in coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a full-stack engineering team (backend + mobile) to deliver high-quality software aligned with product goals.
• Establish and improve engineering standards, delivery processes, and team health.
• Coach engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and growth planning.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and ramp-up of new team members.
• Maintain a 12-month technical roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Own team execution health, risks and dependencies.

In this role, you will build and develop a high-performing full-stack engineering team, driving delivery excellence and technical innovation that directly impacts our Business Banking customers. Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a full-stack development team (backend + mobile) to deliver high-quality, predictable software aligned with product and architectural goals.
• Establish and continuously improve engineering standards, delivery processes, and team health.
• Coach and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and growth planning.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and ramp-up of new team members to ensure smooth integration.
• Maintain and execute a 12-month technical roadmap in close collaboration with product, platform, and business stakeholders.
• Act as the primary owner of team execution health, risks, and dependencies.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and customer-centric innovation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in agile, full-stack environments.
• Strong background in backend and or mobile development, preferably with Kotlin or SwiftUI.
• Experience with API-driven systems and backend banking workflows is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver predictable, high-quality software with effective risk and dependency management.
• Skilled in coaching, performance management, and developing engineering talent.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Scrum, Kanban, Design Sprints, and User Story Mapping.
