Job summary

Allianz Direct, a leading digital insurer in Europe, is building a modern ML platform and end-to-end solutions in Madrid. We are seeking a medior data scientist/ML engineer to grow our team and deliver models from ideation to deployment, collaborating with colleagues across Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Italy.

You will work on pricing, claims and operations problems using classification, regression, anomaly detection and other ML methods, leveraging Databricks, Python, and MLflow

Qualifications

• Academic degree (MSc/PhD) in a relevant technical field.
• Strong ML fundamentals with ability to apply algorithms for classification and regression.
• At least 3 years in data science or ML engineering.
• Proficient in Python and libraries like pandas and scikit-learn.
• Experience with hyperparameter tuning and model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy ML solutions end-to-end with business stakeholders.
• Tackle problems across pricing engine, claim processes, customer contact center and operations.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate deployed models into company processes.
• Contribute to expanding and improving the ML data platform on Databricks.
• Share knowledge and participate in weekly knowledge-sharing sessions.
