Novanta Inc. is seeking a Mechatronics Engineering Intern to support tooling development, mechanical design, manufacturing, and prototyping.

You will implement and validate mechanical assemblies, generate technical documentation, and gain hands-on experience with CAD tools, manufacturing equipment, and lab testing. You will work with a cross-functional team to meet project objectives, perform tolerance analyses, and contribute to data-driven recommendations while expanding your knowledge in

Formación

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Familiar with CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Interest in mechanical design, prototyping, 3D printing and electronics manufacturing.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop mechanical components, tooling, fixtures, and prototypes using 3D CAD.
• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and debug electromechanical systems and tooling.
• Perform validation, tolerance analysis, and performance testing.
• Create and maintain engineering docs including drawings, instructions, test reports, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to support project objectives with data-driven recommendations.
