IDOM is seeking a Mechanical engineer to work on high-performance optical and mechatronic systems for astronomy, space, and physics. You will join AIV teams spanning development to verification across ground-based telescopes and space cameras.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering with a specialization in mechanical engineering, industrial automation, aerospace engineering.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking to hire industrial engineers specializing in mechanical engineering or industrial automation, mechanical engineers, or aerospace engineers for our Science and Technology business unit to work on the development of high-performance optical and mechatronic systems for astronomy, space, fusion, and particle physics.

The successful candidates will join the development, manufacturing control, assembly, integration, and verification (AIV) teams for ground-based telescopes, space-based cameras (e.g., for Earth observation), scientific instrumentation (astronomy, fusion, particle physics), plasma heating systems, etc.
