Hitachi Energy in Vadodara, India, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Power Transformers to join our International Design and Engineering Team. You will contribute to global transformer design projects, coordinating with colleagues across different countries.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 2–7 years of experience in transformer mechanical design, with proficiency in English and strong CAD and drawing skills.

Formación

• Bachelors degree of Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-7 years experience in mechanical design for Power Transformers.
• Experience in order designs and customer fabrication drawings.
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Responsabilidades

• Part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformers design across different countries.
• Prepare General Arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs and submit to customers as per project schedule.
• Contribute to global design work within Hitachi Energy's worldwide factory network and coordinate design activities.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Power Transformer

The opportunity

As a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Transformer Design at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India, youll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. How youll make an impact

• The successful candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team heavily specialized in Power Transformers design covering different countries.
• Preparation of General Arrangement, fabrication drawings, Bill of materials and submission to customer as per project schedule.
• Will be part of a Global Engineering Centre team and your task is to contribute to the global design work with positive team atmosphere and networking.
• Responsible for development of transformer designs in coordination with global Hitachi Energy factory based on the purchase order requirement, ordering specification in different areas of transformer mechanical design.
• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your Background

• Bachelors degree of Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 - 7 yearsexperience working in mechanical design for Power Transformers.
• Candidates with higher experience also to be considered. Experience in order designs,
• Experience in Customer drawings fabrication drawings.
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Additional languages knowledge is considered an advantage.
• Quick learner with ability to master new areas
• Proficiency in both spoken written English language is required.
